Canvas tarps, also called a soft tonneau cover or tonneau, is a protective shield intended to protect the pickup truck and subsequent cargo from inclement weather and potential theft. This accessory, in particular, aids in streamlining the look of the truck, while instantly providing a capped-off storage space in the cargo area of the pick-up. There are many canvas tarps that feature multiple top-load hinged-door openings that allow for easy access to all four corners of your truck bed.
Certain competing truck tonneau covers can be elevated and hung in mid-air by oem or fibreglass poles, identical to the rods that hold a number of car hoods upright. Other tonneau makes and models retract into a canister mounted at the front of the truck bed.
