Fiberglass tonneau covers, also called a fiberglass truck lid, includes any style of truck bed top constructed from fiberglass. They are designed, or intended, to to produce a more streamlined pickup truck whilst granting a concealed storage space to the pickup's truck bed. A host of models are available locally or online. A lot of fiberglass tonneau covers can include hard tops outfitted with hinged covered openings on the top allowing the user immediate access to the pick-up truck's storage box.

A netting isn't as versatile as the standard factory tailgate and it can lose its value in a shorter time period. Nets have a tendency to detach, allowing items to jump out of the pick-up truck bed during times when the truck is motoring at highway speeds. Tailgate nettings also hurt the looks of the pick-up truck, causing it to appear cheapened or broken-down. A fiberglass truck lid supplies vastly superior protection while giving any pick-up truck a veritable high-class appearance.
